Biscoff Goodness

A little more than a month ago, one of my classmates introduced me to Biscoff Spread by letting me indulge in a spoonful of goodness.  Biscoff Spread is made from no other than Biscoff cookies--light, crispy, and caramel like graham crackers.  I told Mister B. about it and we immediately went on the hunt for it starting at Walmart then onto Whole Foods, and finally CVS, but we were unsuccessful.  A couple days later, Mister B. went to a Walmart nearby his work and he lucked out and found both these babies.  We put it on bread, Sky Flake crackers, anything and everything you would with peanut butter or Nutella.

The weekend before Mister B. found Biscoff, we had baked Nutella brownie bites--easy and satisfying!

However, the hazelnut flavor from the Nutella didn't stand out as much as we had hoped for.  So, once we got our hands on Biscoff, we already knew that we wanted to try to do the same thing with it--Biscoff bites!  We just replaced the Nutella with Biscoff  and voila, delicious treats in 12 minutes.  &&& they turned out amazing!!  Even the baby sister and my niece inhaled them faster than the Nutella ones.  Be sure to bake them for no longer than 12 minutes at 350 degrees if you want that gooey goodness.

Biscoff spread and cookies can be found in California at Cost Plus World Market, CVS, Fresh & Easy, Lucky Supermarkets, Raley's, Rite Aid, Safeway, Walgreen's, Walmart, and Whole Foods and can also be ordered online.

Have you tried Biscoff?  If you have, let us know what you think of it or if you've used it in other recipes!

Hello...is anyone there?

Hello friends and readers!  I have been a crappy blogger and I'm sorry.  &&& I'm apologizing just on my behalf.  Mister B. can apologize on his on for his lack of presence on here.  (^_^)

Life has taken over, well...more like school has taken over.  I'm ecstatic to report that I passed my anxiety-filled Med-Surg 2 class this past March! Since then, I've been at home twiddling my thumbs, catching up on reality shows, and attending an online class. You would think I'd have cabin fever staying at home, but I'm enjoying the down time doing laundry (I find it relaxing), cooking, and just lounging in my house clothes.  I'm gonna relish it all before my crazy schedule becomes all about spending most of my time at school, clinicals, and studying at Lestat's for the next two months.

Any way, this past January, fellow classmates and Mister B. jumped on the Pinterest hype-wagon and suggested I join.  I declined because I knew it would just be another distraction from focusing on class, just like Facebook.  I told Mister B. I would join if and when I pass Med-Surg 2.  I joined a couple days sooner than expected.  &&& I've been addicted ever since!

Hopefully, this post will inspire me to blog more often, as I have totally neglected my Tumblr.  Mister B. and I have some recipe blogs to share as well.  &&& since he and I will be taking our first out-of-town trip this coming July to my home and playground, I'm gonna be sharing some of my fave spots and restos of the city in another post.  Till the next blog post...

xoxo,

Better In Time

Break-ups are never easy, they're always hard, no matter the time of day, location, if you're on the receiving end or not. They suck.

Last night, the baby sister and I were doing our usual on a Wednesday night, laying on the couch watching One Tree Hill. She was laying on me asking me questions. Three years ago, we were doing the same exact thing, except we were in my room and I was the one balling and hurt while watching One Tree Hill because I swear to goodness all the episodes from season 5 were about me and the ex.

"When does the pain go away?" When you start not giving a damn for the other person. This is usually months after your gal pals tell you to rage and have fun. That's usually when you get your groove back and begin to eye fuck yourself and focus on how beautiful and fabulous you are. It definitely takes a while to get into the groove of living for yourself when you've been in a relationship, especially a LDR, but you'll get there. Trust.

"He wasn't good enough for you." Yes, your awesome friends are gonna tell you that. &&& yes, we know that to be true, but don't let that statement get to your head even though you know you're a good catch and you can't fathom why this shit is happening to you. Instead of thinking or saying he wasn't good enough for you, drop the "enough" because at the end of all this, you'll realize that he just wasn't good for you.

As cliche as it sounds, you'll be better in time. &&& trust me, you'll be much happier than before. &&& you know this because you've witness me at my worst and you're seeing me at my best to date. Just remember, life's too short to give all of your love to someone without being able to say, in your lifetime that you were able to love yourself first. It's a new and unfamiliar path, but it's a necessary one because everything happens for a reason. I truly believe that.

Free time

Lately, I feel like I've had a little bit extra free time so I grabbed 2 books from my brother's library: The Catcher in the Rye & The Zombie Survival Guide. I started reading The Catcher in the Rye first a few days ago. It was supposed to have been read in A.P. English in high school, but I rarely opened books that weren't text books. This is one of the ones I didn't open.

Now I'm sitting next to the girlfriend while she and her buddies study and I gave the book another try. I got about 80 pages into the book and now I'm closing it again. The book didn't keep me drawn in. Guess it's onto The Zombie Survival Guide, this one sounds a bit more promising. Maybe I'll close this book if it doesn't intrigue me and start roaming Pinterest again. I don't really care what I'm doing, as long as I'm with the girlfriend. <3

Here We Are

Hello and welcome to our blog! We've decided to blog together so we can keep a track of our creations, adventures, and thoughts--our virtual adventure book!

First up, happy 5 months and 14 days to us. Hopefully this can get updated regularly and frequently. It still needs a little touch up, but it's pretty much ready for the public eye. Please feel free to explore our simple little niche on the world wide web and to track and follow us here.

In the meantime, stay tuned and again, welcome!
